About Amplify Black Women
Amplify Black Women launched in Sydney Australia on 18 May 2024 from a simple but powerful need: to create spaces where Black women are genuinely centred, celebrated and supported.
Too often, our voices, stories and lived experiences have been overlooked, underestimated or placed at the margins. We have not always been given the visibility, platform or recognition we deserve, despite the strength, brilliance and leadership we continue to carry in our communities, workplaces and society.
Amplify Black Women exists to change that.
We are a Sydney-based community organisation dedicated to empowering Black women through intentional events, meaningful conversations and community-led spaces. Our work is grounded in connection, advocacy and collective growth, with a focus on financial literacy, professional development, mental health and wellbeing.
Through everything we do, we create environments where Black women feel seen, supported, heard and equipped to thrive.
Because when Black women are amplified, our communities rise with us.

At Amplify Black Women, our mission is to create spaces where Black women in Sydney are seen, supported and equipped to thrive.
We do this by building community, creating intentional events and providing access to resources, conversations and opportunities that support financial literacy, professional development, personal growth, mental health and wellbeing.
We exist to amplify the voices, leadership and lived experiences of Black women, so that we can move through the world with greater confidence, connection and power.

Our vision is to see Black women connected, resourced and thriving in every space they enter.
Beginning in Sydney, Amplify Black Women envisions a powerful network of Black women growing across Australia and beyond. Through intentional programs, community spaces and emerging hubs, we are building a global sisterhood grounded in leadership, connection, opportunity and collective power.
We are working towards a future where Black women are not only seen and supported, but recognised as leaders, changemakers and innovators shaping their communities and the world.
