OUR FOUNDER
Annette Cole
Wealth. Wellness. Community
Annette Cole is a Sydney-based lawyer, community leader, and the Founder of Amplify Black Women (ABW), a growing organization dedicated to empowering Black women through community, advocacy, and opportunity.
Born in Sierra Leone and raised in Australia from the age of three, her lived experiences continue to shape her passion for representation, advocacy, and creating spaces where Black women feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive

HER STORY
Amplify Black Women was born from a season of reflection, challenge, and rebuilding.
At a time when Annette was navigating personal hardship and seeking stability, she recognised a deeper need not just for herself, but for other Black women who were also carrying so much, often without spaces to truly be seen and supported.
What started as a simple idea quickly became something more. Annette began bringing women together, creating spaces for honest conversations, shared experiences, and collective growth.
Without significant funding or infrastructure, ABW was built through community, consistency, and a clear sense of purpose.
Her journey is one of resilience, faith, and transformation. It continues to shape how she leads with empathy, intention, and a commitment to creating spaces that not only inspire, but genuinely support women to grow, heal, and thrive.
WHY ABW EXISTS
Annette founded Amplify Black Women from a deeply personal place recognising the need for spaces where Black women feel seen, supported, and equipped to thrive.
What began as an idea has grown into a vibrant and evolving community, creating opportunities for connection, professional development, financial empowerment, and conversations that centre lived experience.
We Rise Higher, Together.
